How to make a Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer Place Setting

How about having a sweet Christmas meal with the children you look after with Rudolph Reindeer name place settings? These can be made in any colour and can be made with bits and bobs found in the parents' craft cupboard or from crafts you have brought to the booking yourself. After you have made your reindeers and had a little celebratory meal with the children, why not pop Rudolph on the Christmas tree as a decoration, he might even make it onto the top spot on the tree!

 

MATERIALS NEEDED:

- A sheet of cardboard (any colour) A4 makes 2 reindeer

- Some black card/paper

- a pom-pom (red if making Rudolf)

- wobbly eyes or white paper and black marker

- a side plate

- a pencil

- cello tape

- glue

- scissors

- stapler

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Place the side plate on the A4 card and trace around it with a pencil.

2)Fold the card in half so that the traced circle is halved.

5)Draw some wriggly antlers onto some black card or black paper and cut them out. 2 Are needed per reindeer. es.

4)Using one semi-circle make it into a cone shape and staple the back closed. There will be a gap in the top which is fine.

6) Cello tape them into place on the back of the top of the cone.

7)Add two wiggly eyes or draw some eyes on some white paper with a black marker and glue them into place.

8) Take a piece of cello tape and fold it back on itself to make a sticky circle of tape. Attach the pom-pom to the tape and the tape to your card where a nose should go.
