Baby And Child First Aid Apps And Why You Should Download Them Now

Having run a babysitter platform for the last 7 years we understand that in-person Paediatric First Aid courses are not cheap, especially if you are a student or just starting out as a babysitter. We do however also understand that no one should die or become critically ill because they needed First Aid and did not get it because you had not as yet completed a First Aid course.

It is therefore vital to know what to do in an emergency situation and regardless of whether you have done a First Aid course in the past or not the chances that you might forget something important during an emergency are quite high. The solution to avoid this immediate problem is to download a baby and child first aid app onto your phone. They are simple, free, and more importantly life -saving.

Good First Aid apps include an instantly accessible first aid section, with step-by-step instructions and the ability to call emergency services at the touch of a button. These First Aid Apps also have a video and quiz section to test your knowledge if you are wanting to learn or refresh your mind again.

Through these apps, you can learn First Aid techniques for anything First Aid-related from dealing with a minor asthma attack all the way through to helping a child who is unresponsive and not breathing.

Please note that a Baby and Child First Aid App in no way replaces an in-person First Aid course but learning through the App will help provide you with valuable life-saving information and in my opinion is much better than knowing nothing at all.

Another important thing to note is that all of the First Aid information is hosted on the app, no internet connection is needed so if you are at a booking with poor internet and an emergency situation arises you will still be able to access the information needed.

The British Babysitting Association recommends these Baby and Child First Aid Apps:

1) St Johns Ambulance Baby and Child First Aid - https://www.sja.org.uk/get-advice/free-first-aid-app/

2) British Red Cross Baby and Child First  (NHS) - https://www.nhs.uk/apps-library/baby-and-child-first-aid/

Have you used a Baby and Child First Aid App during your babysitter booking? We would love to hear from you if you have on www.britishbabysittingassociation.com
